Lingo is one of the known products by Primus Telecommunication which is on topmost list of telecom companies in the USA. The international transparency of Primus Telecommunication brought forth great international calling plans with unique features and capabilities for Lingo. One of these unique potential is the ability to choose international phone numbers in any major international city.
Lingo’s Home and Office plans will not be left behind in its offers and packages among other providers.
Features:
Lingo is one of those VOIP providers which have maximized a lot of its services. Aside from the standard features like Call forwarding, Call Waiting, Voice Mail and more, Lingo provides some special features; to wit:
Universal Phone Number:
This special feature lets you have an international phone number for the majority of key cities and countries around the world. In so doing, a customer who subscribes for a number in Argentina will allow his calls to any number in Argentina billed as local calls. However, his calls to USA numbers will be billed as international calls from Argentina to the US. People from Argentina can call you paying the local rates.
Local Number Porting:
Transferring to Lingo from your traditional phone service maintaining your old number is as easy as filling out an online form and sending authorization form to Lingo for having the local number transferred. It takes fifteen to twenty days only to process this.
On the other hand, it is best for customers with DSL connection to move their internet connections to a separate phone number with the local telephone company. After all, a phone number is required to get their internet connection.
Emergency Calling Service:
Emergency calling service routes your call from Lingo’s network to the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)in the local area. Being a Lingo customer will have automatic enrolment in the service. Accurate PSAP is determined through the physical address supplied during sign up for Lingo. Correct information of address is important to have your call routed to the appropriate PSAP in your locality to avoid delay in of emergency.
Lingo gives importance to your safety. It is significant to know the differences between Lingo’s 911 dialing features and traditional 911 or E911 service. Lingo Emergency Calling Service is unlike the regular 911 services. Emergency calls made from Lingo Voice over IP phones will be directed to the PSAP’s general access line. This is different from 911 Emergency Response Center. Necessary information are needed like the nature of the emergency, location and telephone number since PSAP personnel does not have access to this information at hand.

The letter I received informing me I needed to send in a Letter of Authorization does not have the correct instructions of how to get to the letter on the website. The support page does not have a reference to the letter. To get to the letter you must login. Problem: can’t login because you have not password because you have not yet completed the letter of authorization. I had to call for the default password. Then, when getting to the correct support page the words “Letter of Authorization” so not appear. Instead you see eLOA. Now, could you make this whole process easier, or be clear in the letter requesting the Letter of Authorization what the correct process is to get to the Letter. It took me almost 30 minutes to get help including the time with the support staff.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTENABOVE.
THESE GUYS HAVE GONE FROM BAD TO WORSE NOW. THE WAIT TIMES ARE HIGH AND THEN YOU ARE HUNG UP ON. MOST OFTEN THAN NOT YOU WOULD NOT GET RESOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM IN ONE GO. DIFFERENT PEOPLE GIVE YOU DIFFERENT STORIES. GIVE THEM TRAINING SO THAT THEY DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME BY GIVING US RUNAROUNDS.

Lingo has really sick customer service. Over the last 2 months I have spent hours on the phone talking to their representatives supposedly based in Philippines, to get an issue resolved. I have been put through really long hold times trying to get to speak to someone who can help. All I get is talk and no resolution. Worse still they hang up the phone when they cannot help me.
I am sick and tired of this and have decided to move back to my earlier VOIP provider – Vonage. Hope the management of this company wakes up and does something before more customers leave.
