I bought magic jack one year ago and have had no problems with it until now. Now It doesn’t work and the blue light no longer works, but I never get a yearly bill i guess I’m dubbed. Jimmy Joiner

I ordrered a Magic Jack which supposedly was shipped to me by the USPS. However, I did not receive it (I checked with my local mail person & she remembered placing it in my mail box but because I was out of state for longer than 10 days she remembered returning it to sender. I contacted Magic Jack & was told that the unit had, indeed, been returned to them & that they would resend the same unit to me again. A few days later I received the unit. However, my visa was charged for 2 units & after several attempts to convince Magic Jacks customer service that I actually received 1 unit I gave up in frustration. Magic Jack’s customer service sucks. Their customer services supervisor(Chris) practically told me I was lying & that they had proof that I received 2 units.How do you deal with such incompetance ????

I bought Magic Jack i’ve had it about 6 months now its ok but the quailty of the phone is bad it cuts in and out and sometimes even shuts off the caller ID kind of sucks and if someone is useing the pc at the sametime i really find the magic jack icon annoying popping up everytime you try to make a phone call its really easy broken the USB plug is really weak i wouldnt recommend this for replacement phone but none the less maybe a 2nd line the only good thing about it is the yearly cost i guess you get your moneys worth overall though the directory asistance aint really helpful if you have to talk to a voice mail to get a number thats lame i could find the name on yellowpages quicker and it cant half understand you over the phone sometimes you sound like a robot or the person your talking to does i would really recommend them fixing the Caller ID and stuff to work with your phone and fixing the magic jack icon to stay in tray unless you wanna open it your self which what time it is working right it seems pretty cool you can take it on trips with your alptop thats a plus for it and have a phone anywhere aslong as you have wireless oect but they really need to fix this alittle better before saying

before saying you can could replace this as your primary phone line cause its not near as good as that the caller ID should be fixed to show on your phone if you have a caller id phone the Directory Asistance should be a person not a voice box the call waiting has a few bugs the hold button will hang up on the person your talking to sometimes but.. it is worth the price if they would make this work the way a real phone line should work and get rid of all the lame issue i would even consider paying more yearly for the service but there far from great reliability overall i wouldnt recommend this product to anyone for a primary phone they would work nice for buisness or 2nd lines tho

also they need to allow you to get phone numbers in your own city so that the people can call you local not all people are able to call long distance for free so its kind of pointless to your family if they cant call you when you have a phone number out of your county you live in which i’m hoping they add those in the future and fix the issues magic jack could go far with phone service if there willing to work to do it instead of just putting some cheap stuff together and trying to make a quick buck like alot of these product creators do which in the end the little work will backfire but the hard work will pay off so i’d really suggest making magic jack work better and more user friendly when it comes to phone numbers and your icon on your pc and the features you say it gives need some working on aswell

the light does not come on anymore so i can not connect any more . Also tried a second jack, still will not connect.

i have a magic jack-have had it about 1.5 week, so far so good good sound,had litlle trouble w/set up thats cause you have to didable firewall before setting up( chat tech was very helpful and patientw/ me happy so far!

If you are having voice quality issues all you need to do is buy a USB port with an adapter. It takes lots of energy from the computer to make a call so when you have a powered usb you don’t have to worry about the computers usage. You can buy one for under 7 bucks at EFORCITY.com

I returned mine because I didn’t read the fine print: Your computer must be on at all times to use MJ; and if you put your computer in Standby or Hibernate — it won’t work.
Having to turn your computer on to make a call or leaving it on wastes electricity and any savings will be negligible compared to the increase in electric costs.

I purchased it from their website, and could NOT get the thing to work. I spent over 2 and 1/2 hours, in chat conversions and everyone had me do the exact same thing, and it never worked. The last straw came when the service rep “Prince” told me that I would have to pay the shipping back on the defective unit, because they were paying the shipping on the replacement.
I asked for a customer service contact and was told that management doesn’t chat or have contact with their customers. So, I am paying the return shipping but using a new company, one that CARES, more about their customers.

I have had the Majic Jack for 2 years! There will not be a 3rd! The calls come in broken. People can not hear me sometimes. It does not come on when plugged in to nthe PC. This happens quite a lot. No more. I give up.

I bought a magic jack a year back. Tried connecting into a conference number; it just would go into an infinite loop asking me to enter the conference number; the same conference number works well from a land line. I called the support desk and they promptly informed that it is known problem and would be fixed. It is not fixed for a long period now. Otherwise the Phone is good. I now have a standby land line to use for incoming calls.

I bought the Magic Jack and I have no luck with it at all. There’s a long delay between you and your caller, the voice sounds like a Martian half the time, it won’t ring half the time and the list goes on. Pretty much a rip off in my book. I wouldn’t advise anybody to waste their money on one.

I upgraded to magicjack my magicjack service i aske for a new phone number. my old number was 813 408 6822 my new number is 813 379 7744 .order upgard for 3 years magicjack took from my acount 78.80 /3/3/2010,0n /3/10/2010/ magicjack took from my acount .74.85 to times on the same day to times 74.8 5 = 149.70 that magicjack oes me. i charlie harris have been trying to get in tuch with some one from magicjack to take care of this matter so for i have got nothing back from magicjack. t0 days date is /4/15/2010/ if i don,t here from magicjack by/4/23/2010/ buy ewail velton2142@yahoo.com 0r phone#813-379-7744 cell727-484-5028.i will go to see my lawery. hope to here from you soon.ps; hope to here from you soon.
