A little software was created by Skype and one can say hello to the rest of the world.  If both correspondents are on skype, it may even be for free.  Skype was founded in 2003. It is available in twenty-eight languages and is utilized in almost every country around the globe.  Skype is free to download and allows free calls to other Skype users.

However, Skype differs from other VoIP service providers.  Skype requires a computer aside from a broadband connection for their services.

Buy Skype Credit – Once customers have purchased Skype Credit they can start to use Skype’s  great products and features that are not free. It is simple to use.  Just sign in to your account and from there you can check your balance or purchase more Skype Credit. Skype Credit is active for 180 days after last use of a product or feature.  Through Skype Credit one can use products like voicemail or text messaging.  This may also enable you to purchase an online number so that your friends and families without Skype can make calls paying only local rates.

Subscriptions – monthly subscriptions are also available.

Others:

SkypeOut: lets you call any number in the world may it be a traditional phone line or mobile phone.

SkypeIn Beta:  gets access of a real phone number and receives calls which are paid for a call equivalent to the area code one is using even when he is somewhere outside of the place deleting international rates. A SkypeIn subscriber can have maximum of 10 numbers from US, UK , France, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Sweden and HongKong . This service is currently in Beta and the Skype team is trying to make available numbers from many other countries.

Skype Email Toolbar: enables customers to call Skype contacts who email them.

Skype Web Toolbar: The Skype Web Toolbars combines Skype with the web browser. It recognizes phone numbers and Skype Names on web pages so that the user can call them with one click, through Skype.

    All popular Skype?! I tried it I it works well, but it is expensive. Now I’m using 12voip.
