When numerous VOIP services are trying their best to hold their market share and expand, Vonics apparently seems to offer just another ordinary VOIP service. However, a closer look at their details would reveal the differentiating factor. The sheer number of service plans offered by Vonics can clearly be marked as their USP, whether business or residence, they have a plan that will perfectly match the customer’s requirements.

Vonics packages start at as low as $12.99 and the costliest package is priced at $44.99. Vonics, offering quality service, a wide selection of tariff plans with inexpensive international rates and good pricing is often fair bet for anyone considering to subscribe for a VOIP phone service.

Features:

Vonics offers the standard features that are generally offered by most of the VOIP telephone services and are good enough for day-to-day use. Though not much of fancy features are there but still it wont leave the customers with any complain about lack of any necessary feature.

Extra Features:

There are a host of extra features offered by Vonics that include services like multiple phone numbers, virtual phone numbers, Soft Phone, Toll Free numbers, Fax and Enhance 411.

Virtual Phone Number:

A virtual phone number allows the customer to have a 2nd phone number from the same or different are code to ring to the same line as the main line. This allows the customers to receive calls from people outside their local calling area with the caller paying only for a local call. One customer is allowed to have upto five secondary virtual phone numbers per account.

Soft Phone:

Vonics also offers a soft phone that can be used from Laptop or Desktop with its own phone number and they also offer 500 local and long distance minutes with it.

Toll Free Plus:

ViaTalk offers Toll Free numbers to both its residential and business customers. They charge an additional $4.95/month for the toll free number and the user pays 5 cents/minute for all incoming calls.

Fax Service:

Vonics also offers a dedicated fax line to its residential customers for $9.99/month with 300 outbound minutes. Business accounts come with a free fax line.

411 Directory Service:

Vonics allows its customers to use the 411 service by means of which they can get information for any listed business or home address in the USA or Canada. Customers are charged $0.99 per call.

General Features:

Other than the above-mentioned paid features Vonics also offers several other general features as a part of their standard packages. This list of features would include, Voicemail, Three-way calling, Call Forwarding, Call waiting, caller id with name, call return (*69), Caller ID Block, Call Transfer and much more.

Plans Offered:

Vonics offers a wide choice of tariff plans to meet the different needs of different customer segments. While the entry-level Basic unlimited plan starts at $12.95/month their business plan with two phone lines and a fax line would cost $84.99. Vonics offers 4 residential plans and 4 business plans. All these plans offer unlimited in-network calls.

Home Plans

Basic Unlimited:

This plan offered at $12.99 allows the customers to call 500 minutes anywhere in US and Canada and also receive unlimited inbound calls. After the initial 500 minutes calls are billed at $0.03/minute.

Platinum Unlimited:

This plan offers unlimited calling to US and Canada along with a secondary virtual phone number (number outside your area code), all for $24.99.

2-Way International Unlimited :

This plan comes with two primary telephone number and two telephone adapters at $25.99. This is ideal for people who have their close friends or relatives going abroad as they can carry the second set with them and it gives the customer the benefit to speak to their overseas relatives as much as they want. This plan not only offers unlimited In-network calling (even International) but also offers 1000 minutes of nationwide calling (500 minutes to US and 500 for Canada).

International Passport Unlimited:

This plan offered at $34.99 can be a real good deal for people who need to make a lot of International calls. The plan offers unlimited calling to US, UK and Canada and 34 other international countries. However, it is to be noted that calls made to cell phones outside US and Canada will be billed separately at predetermined rates. This plan also includes a secondary virtual phone number.

Business Plans

SOHO Unlimited:

This plan priced at $34.99 offers unlimited calls to US and Canada complimented by extremely competitive rates for international calling.

SOHO Unlimited +:

Besides unlimited calling to US and Canada, this plan also offers a separate dedicated fax line with 300 outgoing minutes. All usage after the 300 minutes are billed at $0.03/minute

SOHO Unlimited Pro:

This plan offers two separate primary phone numbers and two primary phone lines for unlimited calling to US and Canada. The plan for $79.99 also includes a dedicated fax line with 300 outbound minutes. Any usage above the 300 minutes would be charged at $0.03/minute.

SOHO Unlimited Pro +:

Besides all the features of SOHO Unlimited Pro this plan also includes an inbound Toll Free number. All calls received on the toll free number are billed at $4.5cents/minute. This plan is priced at $84.99.

Customer Service:

Vonics customer service has received numerous complaints.
